Don't dance with the devil

It’s a two-step danced in horror and fright
When you dance with devil in the pale moonlight.
Solid walls begin to creek,
And deathly silences begin to speak,
Life begins to disappear,
And creatures of the night reappear,
Nothing good comes out of this tango,
A dance that leaves you nowhere to go.

In a world where to everything there are two sides,
It brings out the darkest side of our minds,
We dream dreams of things we fear,
And embrace those we’ve feared to have near,
We hurt the ones closest to us,
And we lose faith, hope and trust.
We become people we have never been,
And we see ourselves in places we have never seen.

The lure of the darkness is incredible,
And the mark it leaves is indelible,
The pain it brings is like we have never seen before,
Yet we still yearn for more,
We miss the values we have always known,
The seeds of good that we have sown.
So when he beckons be sure to stay out of sight,
And evade that dance in the pale moonlight.
