Everything's made to be broken

An abrasive tear falls down her cheek,
It's the first she's allowed in a week,
The falling tear grinds at her heart,
And she can feel the last of love depart.

She feels a pain she cannot touch,
It can't heal and it hurts so much,
It's the pain of a promise broken,
A dream stolen.

She now knows and she'll say it often,
That vows are meant to be forsaken,
Dreams are meant to be stolen,
And everything's made to be broken.
