Betrayed

As the walls close in around me,
I shield my eyes from the tears I see,
I see the supports cave in,
I can't afford to give in,
I struggle with how I feel inside,
I know I must survive.

Many eyes look to me for an answer,
A solution to the impending disaster,
I have no resolution to the problem,
My spirit is broken,
The cavalry will not be coming,
I must depend on me to keep living.

I klnow i have been betrayed,
The silent message well conveyed,
I have been left alone in a foreign land,
My heart and sould badly bled,
I know I must surge ahead,
And deal with being betrayed.
