Imagine if the wo0rld was what we wanted it to be,
Imagine if all we saw was what we wanted to see,
Where we all have what we need,
In a place and time free of greed,
A world where mothers and children are safe,
From harm, war and rape,
Where we have respect for one another,
And all and sundry are our brother.

Imagine a world where the sun rose every morning,
Where we would lay our heads every evening,
Imagine a world where we didn’t suffer hunger,
Where we feared neither hail nor thunder,
A world which would be a different place,
From the world we today face,
A place we would all want to live,
A vision we can all believe.

What we imagine we can make happen,
By deeds and verse; by action and pen,
The difference starts one person at a time,
So let that first action be mine,
If I moved a step and all were to follow,
We would have travelled a billion steps by tomorrow,
Imagine if I lend a helping hand,
We would have helped a billion by day end.
