Forgiven sins

Life is often so easily taken,
Today there, tomorrow forsaken,
Sins are often forgiven,
But seldom forgotten,
Better yet if they are unknown,
If the seed remains unsown,
What else is the hand willing to forgive,
Be willing to give.

We commit ill quite often,
Perhaps its the toll we are given,
With prayer we are forgiven,
But does the record become unwritten,
Do we then bear less of a burden,
When we know our sins are forgotten?
The burden may be lighter than it seems,
When we consider our forgiven sins.
