The days of old

He looks at the buttons,
Damn these gremlins,
Will it do what its meant to this time?
Or is it like every other time?
The push of a button produces a beep,
Aaargh...he could weep!
This letter could be written by pen and paper,
But he must use this darned computer.

Another push and the screen alights,
Darn technology and its blights,
He starts typing,
Though he'd prefer writing,
The words do come out,
Slower than water from a muzzled snout,
Ah the pains of this new world,
He yearns for the days of old.
