Some days

Some days I can't wipe the smile off my face,
I bask in the glow of grace,
The birds sing for me,
And my spirit runs free,
My sun seems to never set,
And I live with no regret,
Some days I'm happier than I've ever been,
The world is brighter than I've ever seen.

Some days get dark,
Living becomes hard,
The storm blows against my door,
Winless battles leave me on the floor,
Thunder sounds louder than before,
Till I feel I can't take anymore,
Some days I'm sadder than I've ever been,
The world is darker than its ever been.

Some days I feel nothing at all,
My mind hits a brick wall,
I can't shake the numb feeling,
My mind is always reeling,
I feel like I'm not there,
Yet, I'm everywhere,
Some days i fear the way I feel,
And wonder if its all real.
